‘SYSTEM’ CODE
Light Symphony controllers use a ’System Code’ to prevent interference with
neighbouring systems. Lighting controllers will only respond if their System Code
matches the code set in the keyfob. The keyfob is factory preset to System Code 1.
It is highly advisable to change the System Code for each new project to reduce the
chance of interfering with neighbouring systems.
To select a new System Code from 1 to 32, press and hold the top two buttons together
for a few seconds, until the blue light stays on. Next click the top-left button to set the
new code, where each click is counted e.g. press 4 times to set System Code = 4.
After 5 seconds of not pressing any keys, the blue LED will blink the code back, to
confirm the value that’s been stored. e.g. 4 flashes confirms System Code = 4.
The keyfob’s System Code is automatically adopted by the lighting controllers
(receivers) when a lighting Area (Zone) is programmed.
NOTE: When commissioning a new system always set the Keyfob (or remote
control’s) System Code first. This ensures lighting controllers have a chance to learn
the code during commissioning.
The Keyfob will store the System Code permanently, even if the battery is removed or
runs down.
