In the event the Backboard should need replacing, please follow the instructions below. Never remove the Backboard from the
system without first dissasembling the system as instructed.
At least six adults are required to complete the following steps
:

The assembled system is very heavy. At least
six adults are required to complete these steps.
Keep hands and fi ngers clear of pinch points.
Do not put hands or fi ngers between the Pole
and the mounting plate at any time. Stand the
Pole up slowly and carefully. Failure to follow all
of these instructions and warnings could lead
to property damage or serious personal injuries.
Note: Place cardboard or other cushioning material between the
backboard and the ground.

7.1
Remove the
5/8” Nylon Caps (AMS)
from each J-Bolt.

7.2
Have five adults hold the system steady as one adult removes the
5/8” Flat Washers (BIP)
and
5/8” Nylock Nuts (ADL)
from each J-Bolt.

Use all six people and carefully lower the system to the ground.

Remove the hardware that attaches the Extension Arms to the Backboard.
•
Reverse the steps in Section 4 to carefully remove the Backboard
from the system.
•
Being careful of the glass, reverse the steps in Section 6 to
remove the rim from the backboard.
•
Set aside the Rim and all hardware for re-assembly with a
replacement backboard.
•
Follow Sections 4-6 of this manual to reassemle the system with a
new Backboard.
