Analog Operation
The sound will turn on when the track voltage is about
7 volts or more. The sounds are played back as long as
there is enough voltage in the track. The 65011 standing
sounds power supply module must also be installed and
connected for sound from a locomotive that is stopped
(Figure 4).
The horn or the whistle can also be activated with the
reed switches (Figure 4) that can be connected. This
activation is done with magnets laid in the track.
Digital Operation
The different sounds can be controlled in digital ope-
ration (see table “Controllable Functions“). The option
of having reed switches that can be connected to the
sound circuit boards (Figure 4) also allows you to activa-
te the horn or the whistle with magnets laid in the track.
This sound kit can be programmed like a locomotive
decoder. We recommend using the same address for the
locomotive decoder and for this kit.
