Manual Tuning (Add/Delete Channels) / View Digital Signal Strength
Manual Tuning (Add/Delete Channels)
Use this option to manually add active channels or remove
unwanted channels. See also “Edit Channels” on the following
page.
1. Press
MENU
on the Installer Remote, and use the arrow
navigation keys to select/highlight the
CHANNEL
menu
option. Then, press
ENTER
.
2. Use the Up/Down arrows to select
Manual Tuning
, and then
press
ENTER
.
3. In the Manual Tuning pop-up window, use the Left/Right
arrows to select
DIGITAL
or
ANALOG
. Then, use the Up/
Down arrows to highlight the Channel
fi
eld.
4. In the Channel
fi
eld, use the Left/Right arrows to select the
required channel. Then, use the Up/Down arrows to select
Add
or
Delete
(if the channel is not currently active, there
will be an “Add” button; otherwise, there will be a “Delete”
button as shown in the example at right).
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 to add/delete additional channels.
6. When you are done adding/deleting channels, select
Close
and press
ENTER
to close the pop-up window and return to
the Channel Menu.
7. Press
MENU
to return to TV viewing, or press
RETURN
to
return to the previous menu level.
View Digital Signal Strength
The Manual Tuning option described above enables you to
view the signal strength for digital inputs. Select the desired
digital channel in the Manual Tuning pop-up window to view the
quality of the digital signal being received.

Notes:
• A password is required to gain access to Manual
Tuning if the Lock System is turned ON.
• If you are/will be setting up this STB1000 as a
Master STB, complete any manual channel tuning/
editing BEFORE transferring the STB setup to the
internal STB controller (PTC). Refer to the Commer-
cial Mode Setup procedure on pages 40 to 41 for
further information.
• If you delete a found channel, it isn’t gone forever.
Simply re-add the channel to the channel lineup as
described in the “Edit Channels” procedure on the
following page.
