CONNE
CTING THE CABLE
BETWEEN INDOOR & OUTDOOR UNIT
Connec

outdoor unit
A
Remov
e the control cov
er fr
om the unit by
loosening the screw
.
Connect the wir
es to the t
erminals on the
control boar
d individually.
B
Secure the cable on t
o the control boar
d with
the cord clamp
.
C
Refix the contr
ol cover t
o the original
position with the scr
ew.
D
Use a recogniz
ed circuit br
eaker 20A (
12K,18K),
25A (24K) bet
ween the pow
er source
and the unit. A disconnecting device t
o
adequately disconnect all supply lines must
be fitt
ed.
After the confirmation of the above conditions, prepare the wiring as follows:
Never fail
to have
an individual
power circuit
specifically for
the air
conditioner. As
for
the method
of wiring,
be guided
by the
circuit diagram
pasted on
the inside
of control
cover.
The screw
which fasten
the wiring
in the
casing of
electrical fittings
are liable
to come
loose from
vibrations to
which the
unit is
subjected during
the course
of
transportation. Check
them and
make sure
that they
are all
tightly fastened.
(If they
are loose,
it could
cause burn-out
of the
wires.)
Specification of
power source.
Confirm that
electrical capability
is suf
ficient.
The starting
voltage is
maintained at
more than
90 percent
of the
rated
voltage marked
on the
name plate.
Confirm that
the cable
thickness is
as specified
in the
power source
specification.
(Particularly note
the relation
between cable
length and
thickness. (Refer
to page
16))
Always install
an earth
leakage circuit
breaker in
a wet
or moist
area.
The following
would be
caused by
voltage drop.
The means
for disconnection
from a
power supply
shall be
incorporated in
the fixed
wiring and
have an
air gap
contact separation
of at
least 3mm
in each
active(phase)
conductors.
Vibration of a magnetic switch, which will damage the contact point, fuse breaking, disturbance
of the normal function of the overload.
