SOUND CONTROL
SELECTING DIGITAL AUDIO OUT
This function allows you to select your preferred Digital Audio Output.
Auto -allows original output DOLBY Digital if a channel is broadcast with Dolby Digital audio.
PCM -forces stereo PCM output.
When Dolby digital is available,selecting Auto in the Digital Audio Out menu will set SPDIF(Sony Philips Digital
InterFace)output to Dolby Digital.
If Auto is selected in the digital audio out menu when dolby digital is not available,SPDIF output will be
PCM(Pulse-code Modulation).
Even if both Auto and Audio language hav been set in a channel which broadcast Dolby Digital Audio,only Dolby
Digital will be played.
The product includes the capability to conv rt HE-AAC audio to Dolby Digital.This allows b st quality audio and
surround sound support for any high definition broadcast format.Select “Auto ”and mut TV speakers to enable
this at digital output.
