HD Receiver’s remote control can send signals to the HD Receiver in two ways.
Standard IR (Infrared) and RF Control. Standard IR (Infrared) control allows the Remote Control to send
signals to the HD Receiver within a line of sight. RF (Radio Frequency) control allows the remote con-
trol to send signals from your easy chair, any location in the room, or even from another room within
your home. The Remote Control RF Antenna must be connected to use the RF Remote feature (see sec-
tion 3-8).
You can also choose to assign one of eight remote ID’s for IR Control or one of eight remote ID’s for RF
Control. This can be useful if you have more than one satellite receiver in your home or if local RF sig-
nals cause interference to your RF Remote control.
To choose the Remote Control type:
1.
Press the
MENU
button on the Remote Control to display the on-screen menu.
2.
Scroll down using “
E
” on the remote control.
3.
Select the System menu by pressing “
”.
4.
Scroll down to Remote Control using “
E
”.
5.
Pressing “
”. Remote Control Setup Wizard will be displayed.
6.
Choose the IR type or RF type using “
D E
”.
If you want the process to proceed, follow the instructions in Remote Control Setup Wizard.
7.
Press the
EXIT
button on the remote control to return to TV viewing.
