Electrical Installation
Series Connection
The maximum system voltage must not
be exceeded.
The solar modules can be connected in
series to receive a higher output voltage.
Series connection is preferred if the sys­
tems are not in shade. This has the fol­
lowing advantages.
•
the solar modules can be mounted
simply and quickly
•
higher voltages make it possible to
have smaller cable cross­sections
•
higher voltages lead to lower currents
with the same output and therefore to
lower power losses
