Device encryption

Encrypting your device

It is possible to read, write and copy data even when device
encryption is set. It is also possible to display a user confirmation
prompt when the power is turned on by using lock settings while in
lock screen mode.

Precautions for device encryption

You can use the mobile phone lock on the lock screen to increase
your device's protection level.

•

If mobile phone lock is turned on and an incorrect password is
entered more than a specified number of times, the device will
automatically initialise.

•

If you forget your decryption password, initialise the device.
Initialisation will delete all data saved before initialisation.

•

Stopping encryption before it is complete may damage data. For
example, do not remove or insert the battery while encryption is in
progress. Wait until the process is complete.
