Changing your text message
settings
Your telephone message settings
are pre-defined so that you can send
messages immediately.
If you would like to change the settings,
you can do this using the Setting
options.
Press
Menu
>
Messaging
>
Setting
>
Text message
. You can make changes to:
Message centre number
: enter the
details for your message center.
Delivery report
: choose to receive
confirmation that your message was
delivered.
Validity period
- Choose how long your
message is stored at the message center.
Reply charging
:
allows you to load the
message for the same service center.
Message type
: You can change the
message type to
Text, Voice, Fax,
Paging, X.400
or
ERMES
. Normally, the
message type is set to
Text
. You can
convert the text to other formats.
Save sent message
: allow you to save
your text messages.
Change other settings
Press
Menu
>
Messaging
>
Setting
and then:
Voicemail number
: contact your
network operator for more information
about the services it offers.
Info message
: enables the state to
receive service messages, choosing the
language of broadcast messages.
Games
Your GS155a comes with a preloaded game
to keep you amused when you have time
to spare.
Memo
You can create notes for your-self.
Contacts
Searching for a contact
You can search for a contact in your
contacts.

Menu
>
Contacts
>
Search.

Using the keypad enter the first letter
of the contact you want to call. For
example, for Office, press

three times.

To scroll through the contacts use up
and down navigation keys and to scroll
through their different numbers use left
and right navigation keys.
Add a new contact

From the main screen, enter the
contact’s phone number.

Options
and then
Save as new
contact
.
Speed Dial
Press
Menu
>
Contacts
>
Speed dials
. You
can assign a speed dial number to a contact
you call frequently.
FM radio
The LG GS155a has FM radio and you can
tune and listen to your favorite stations.
When the phone can’t find a FM channel or
tune into a radio station, use the ear-mic.
Note
: You will need to insert your
headset in order to listen to the FM
Radio more clear. Insert the plug into
the headset socket (this is the same
socket that you plug your charger into).
