Make sure that you have
correctly installed your
VCR and tuned a video
channel on your TV as
described earlier in this
book.
Switch on your TV and
select the channel you
wish to watch video’s.
Press
POWER
to turn on
your VCR.
If you have a satellite
receiver make sure that it is
connected to your VCR,
switched on and Sky News
has been selected.
Press
i.
The main menu will
appear on the TV screen.
Press
F
or
G
to select
the
ACMS
.
Press
OK
.
Press
OK
again to start
the automatic tuning
process.
After storing all available
TV stations your VCR will
sort them into VIDEO
Plus+ order.
Press
i
to store your TV
stations and remove the
TV station table.
Please note currently
only a limited number
of TV companies
transmit the
Programme Delivery
Control (PDC)
signal which
enables your VCR to
successfully identify and
store them. If your VCR has
difficulty in identifying a TV
station please turn the page
to find out how to manually
tune in and name a TV
station.
While automatic tuning is
taking place the time and
date will set automatically.
If - - :- - appears in the VCR
display it means that the
broadcast signal is weak
and the clock was not set.

The guidance given on the opposite page is for first time use of your VCR.
Should you wish to perform the
Automatic Channel Memory System (ACMS)
again please follow
the guidance given on this page. You may tune up to 80 TV stations into your VCR.
After automatic tuning has taken place please check that TV stations have been placed in
VIDEO Plus+ order otherwise you will be unable to successfully use this excellent feature.
