Outdoor Air Hood Assembly
Each unit comes with a factory-supplied air intake hood
that must be assembled prior to startup. The outdoor air
hood with 1” aluminum filters
The individual parts of the intake hood are located
between the outdoor air intake damper and the intake
hood top piece, which is secured flush with the end of the
unit during shipment. The 1” aluminum filters are located
in the intake compartment behind the outdoor air intake
damper. The outdoor air intake end of the unit is opposite
access to controls

The outdoor air hood have only one row of aluminum filters.
The outdoor air hood parts are located at the bottom of the unit.
Hood Installation
1. Remove and discard the shipping foam or tape.
2. Remove and take inventory of parts shipped in the
sill of the opening.
3. Install the Left and Right side triangle support.
4. Install the Hood Left & Right Side Triangle support
by aligning the pre-punched holes with the dimples
inside the outdoor air intake still. Fasten with
5/16”
hex-head screws.
5. Place the Hood Top on top of the Triangle Side
supports and left and right edges of the top of the
hood to the triangular supports using the provided
5/16″ hex-head screws.
6. Install the Aluminum Filters. Verify airflow arrow is
facing into the unit.
7. Align the pre-punched holes in the Hood End piece
with the Triangle side supports. Check the
insulation (2ea) is attached in series at the each
HOOD END part. Secure in place with the provided
5/16” hex-head screws.
8. Follow the same process from 3 to 6 for the bottom
Hood Installation.
