Using the Appliance Remotely
Start the Washing Programme
Remotely
To start the washing programme remotely in the
LG ThinQ application, set the Remote Start
function. You can also monitor your cycle operation
so you know how much time is left in the cycle.
Using Remote Start

Put the clothes in the drum.

Press the Power button.

Swipe down from the top of the display to open
the Settings screen and touch More Settings .
Touch Remote Start in the Settings menu.
• The LCD display will turn off and the power
button will blink.

Start a cycle from the LG ThinQ application on
your smartphone.
NOTE
• Once this function is enabled, you can only start
a cycle from the LG ThinQ smartphone
application. If the cycle is not started, the
appliance will wait to start the cycle until it is
turned off remotely from the application or this
function is disabled.
• If the door has been opened, you cannot start a
cycle remotely.
Disabling Remote Start Manually
To disable Remote Start , turn it off in the Settings
screen.
Download Cycle
You can download new and specialized cycles that
are not included in the standard cycles on the
appliance.
Appliances that have been successfully connected
can download a variety of specialty cycles specific
to the appliance.
Once cycle download is completed in the appliance,
the product keeps the downloaded cycle until a
new cycle is downloaded.
Downloading Cycles Using an Application

Press the Power button.

Using the LG ThinQ app, check which cycles
are currently downloaded.
• Press
m in the application to check which
cycle has been downloaded on the washer.

Select Downloaded button.
Downloading Cycles Directly

Press the Power button.

Swipe left on the display to get to the
Download Cycles screen and press Edit .
• You may need to delete one of the existing
cycles to make room for a new downloaded
cycle.

Press the add icon f to select a cycle to
download.
Deleting a Downloaded Cycle

Press the Power button.

Swipe left on the display to get to the
Download Cycles screen and press Edit .
• You may need to delete one of the existing
cycles to make room for a new downloaded
cycle.

Press the g button on the cycle you want to
delete.
