If the electrical power source has been disconnected from the
multi
−
information display, the display will automatically be set
to the initial mode.
When the instrument panel lights are turned on, the brightness
of the display will be reduced.
You can adjust the brightness of the display. To adjust the
brightness, see “Instrument panel light control” on page 117.
CAUTION
Be sure to adjust the display only when the vehicle is
stopped.
(1) Odometer and trip meter
The odometer and trip meters appear on the display.
See “Odometer and trip meter” on page 99 for details.
(2) Energy monitor
The operating condition of the hybrid system appears on
the display.
See “Energy monitor” on page 2 for details.
(3) Outside temperature (“OUTSIDE TEMP”)
Outside temperature appears on the display.
The displayed temperature ranges from

30
C (
−
22
F) up to
50
C (122
F). If the temperature does not appear on the
display or it shows “
−−
”, take your vehicle to your Lexus dealer.
(4) Average fuel consumption (“AVERAGE”)
Average fuel consumption is calculated and displayed
based on total driving distance and total fuel
consumption.
The calculation is reset when the fuel consumption on the trip
information is reset. See “Trip information (with navigation
system)” on page 114 or “Trip information (with center display)”
on page 112 for details.
