Opening from inside    1 Unlock    2 Lock    3 Open

The back door can be opened as shown.

See ”Luggage stowage precautions” on page 61 for precautions to
observe in loading luggage.

After closing the back door, try pulling it up to make sure it is
securely closed.

Closing the back door with the lock button pushed in will also lock
the back door.  Be careful not to lock your keys in the vehicle.

The back door lock will be controlled with the power door lock
switch.  (For instructions, see ”Side doors” on page 16.)

CAUTION

Keep the back door closed while driving.  This not only keeps
the luggage from being thrown out but also prevents exhaust
gases from entering the vehicle.
