3. GETTING STARTED

3.1 Batteries 

The CR000GB uses  x AAA batteries (included). 
a. Open the battery compartment with a screwdriver. 
b. Insert the batteries according to the polarity (+/- signs). 
c. Replace the battery door. 

3.2 Static label 

Remove the static label from the LCD screen. 

3.3 On/Off function

Press the ON/OFF button to switch the unit on. The first time “SUDOKU 

GAME LEVEL 1 INITIALISING” is displayed onscreen. The next time 
you switch on you will return to the game you played when the unit 
switched off. 
Note: if the display does not illuminate, please refer to section . 

“Contrast control”. Press the ON/OFF button again to switch it off. 

3.4 Auto Power off function

Auto power off will be activated after  minutes if no key is pressed. 
Press the ON/OFF key again to restart the unit. 
Note: Your current crossword or Sudoku puzzle will be saved if the unit 
is turned off.  

3.5 Contrast control 

To adjust the contrast display, press SHIFT and the CURSOR PAD up 
or down keys.
When the contrast control can no longer be adjusted, please replace 
the batteries.
