Important Safety Information before using your wheelchair
The stand-up wheelchair LEVO LCEV Kid & Junior offers manual driving with
integrated, electrically-powered stand-up actuators. The operation of the standing
mechanism is with a rocker switch positioned for the passenger or an accompanying
person. The whole allows for manual driving while seated and assisted standing up to
86° while stationary.
Please note: Going into the standing position may load the body in a way it is not
used to. Before use (or, even better, before purchase), consult your doctor or physical
therapist and make sure that there are no contraindications such as strong
contractures or osteoporosis. Without a prescription by your doctor or physical
therapist, there are risks of high injury and must be strictly followed.
In the case of strong or sudden spasms, cramps or similar, the user should only stand
under the supervision of an accompanying person.
A doctor, therapist or dealer must decide whether the LEVO LCEV Kid & Junior may
is suitable for each individual user depending on visual and cognitive skills,
environment and personal safety.
Please take care to avoid being pinched or squeezed by the mechanism during
elevating or when returning to the seated position. Especially care should be taken
with the sections between the seat and the mainframe to avoid injury.
The LEVO LCEV Kid & Junior must be placed on level and solid ground before
operating the standing mechanism. (Caution risk of tipping over!).
The brakes of the LEVO LCEV Kid & Junior must be activated before operating the
standing mechanism. (Caution risk of tipping over!).
The standing mechanism should not be operated without a person in the LEVO LCEV
Kid & Junior. (Risk of accident)!
It is absolutely essential to mount the knee support and the chest strap correct before
you use the stand-up function! You should never go into standing without these
safety restraints securely in place. (Risk of accident)!
The restraints must be worn over clothing to prevent skin irritation.
The LEVO LCEV
Kid & Junior should not be lifted by the armrests. The armrests are designed for high
pressure downward load but not for tensile loading from above.
The wheelchair must always be driven in the completely seated position so that the
load can be distributed to the frame. Otherwise there are risks to damage the seating
system.
Please avoid any unusual loads like torques or shear forces. Additional load at the
armrests or backrest, fixing for transport without the dedicated equipment etc. is to
avoided! The wheelchair could be damaged with risk of personal injury.
