Where to use your Pump
Correct use:
•
The pump is intended for private use around the house and garden. It is
primarily intended for drainage purposes if flooding occurs but also for
transferring water to and from tanks and pumping them out, for drawing water
from wells and shafts, for draining boats and yachts and for aerating and
circulating water for limited periods.
Liquid conveyed:
•
The pump is suitable for conveying:
•
Submersible pump for clean water: clean to slightly dirty water with a max.
particle size of 5 mm.
•
Submersible pump for dirty water: dirty water with a max. particle size of 35
mm.
•
The pump can be fully submerged (watertight encapsulation) and can be
lowered down to a depth of 7m into the water.
•
The pump must not be installed in swimming pools; it must be installed and
used in accordance with National installation rules.
•
The pump is not intended for long term use (e. g. use for continuous
circulation) in a pond. The length of life of the pump will be shortened
accordingly if used in this way.
•
Corrosive (chemicals, cleaning fluids etc...), flammable or explosive
substances (e.g. petrol, paraffin, cellulose thinners); grease, oil, salt water and
sewage must not be conveyed by the pump.
•
The PH of water must between 6.5 and 8.5. Pollution of the liquid could occur
due to leakage of lubricants.
•
The temperature of the liquid conveyed may not exceed 35
°C.
•
Do not expose the plug to damp. Protect plug and power cable away from
heat, oil and sharp edges.
•
Do not expose the pump to frost.
•
Do not run the pump without water.
Safety Instructions
Before starting up the pump make sure that:
• The pump must not be used when people are in the water.
• Make sure that the electrical plug and socket connections are fitted in an area which
cannot flood. And protect power plug from moisture.
• Check out if there is any damage to the pump, especially to the cable and plug. A
damaged pump mustn’t be used any way.
• The pump must be supplied through a residual current device (RCD) having a rated
residual operating current not exceeding 30 mA.
The mains supply voltage matches the voltage indicated on the pump identification
plate.
