9. Use of contact grill

WARNING!

• Parts of the appliance become hot
during operation. Do not touch the hot
parts of the appliance.
• The housing cover is also heated,
when it is open. So be especially
careful in order to avoid burns and / or
property damage.
• Do not hold the handle during
baking process - there is a risk of injury
because of the escaping hot steam.
• Let the appliance cool completely
before cleaning or stowing it.
• Prepare the ingredients and place
them close to the device. Then
connect the appliance to the earthing
contact socket.

1. Place the appliance on a flat, heat
and grease-resistant surface.
2. Unlock the transport lock (3).
3. Unwind the power cord with the
power plug completely and connect
the appliance to a properly installed
power outlet that corresponds to the
specifications on the device.
4. The red indicator light (2) lights up.
The appliance starts heating up.
5. After the device has reached the
operating temperature, the indicator
light (2) goes out. This indicates that
the optimum temperature has been
reached.
6. The indicator light (2) and thus the
thermostat also now switches on and
off during operation to maintain the
optimum temperature.
7. Fold up the device cover by pulling it
upwards on the handle (4).
8. Coat the grill plates with butter,
margarine or heat-resistant vegetable

oil before inserting the food.
9. Place your food on the lower grill
plate.
10. Now close the device cover. To
do this, use only the handle (4). The
distance between the two grill plates
automatically adapts to the thickness
of your food when the appliance lid is
closed.
11. Check the condition of your food
regularly and do not leave it unattend-
ed.
12. Fold up the device cover with the
handle (4) and carefully remove the
food with a heat-resistant wooden or
plastic spatula once it has reached
the desired state. If there are still other
items to be grilled on the grill plates,
close the appliance lid again and
leave it in the appliance until it has
reached the desired state.
13. Disconnect the device from the
mains after using the device by pulling
the plug out of the earthing contact
socket. Let the appliance cool to room
temperature before cleaning and / or
stowing it.

 WARNING!

After taking out, the food is very hot!
Let it cool sufficiently before consump-
tion. Risk of burns!

Grilling on a large area

You can flip the lid completely (180 °)
and so get a larger grill surface.

 WARNING!

• Fold the lid only when the appliance
has cooled down sufficiently. Risk of
injury!
