Replacing the 2.5-inch storage drive

1.  Remove any media from the drives and turn off all connected devices and the computer. Disconnect all 

power cords from electrical outlets and disconnect all cables from the computer.

2.  Place a soft, clean towel or cloth on the desk or surface. Hold the sides of your computer and gently lay 

it down so that the computer cover is against the surface and the screen is facing up.

3.  Remove the tilt-only monitor stand base. See “Replacing the tilt-only monitor stand base” on page 17.

4.  Remove the front cover. See “Removing the front cover” on page 17.

5.  Replace the 2.5-inch storage drive.
