b. Secure the new 3.5-inch storage drive to the drive bay with the four screws.
c. Connect the power and data cables to the 3.5-inch storage drive.
d. Pivoting the drive bay assembly downward.
Step 11. Reinstall all the removed parts, and then reconnect the cables.
Replacing the 2.5-inch storage drive
Note: For this procedure, it helps to lay the computer flat.
To replace the 2.5-inch storage drive:
Step 1. Remove any media from the drives, shut down the operating system, and turn off the computer
and all attached devices.
Step 2. Unplug all power cords from electrical outlets.
Step 3. Disconnect all cables attached to the computer. This includes power cords, input/output (I/O)
cables, and any other cables that are connected to the computer. Refer to Locating connectors,
controls and components to locate the various connectors.
Step 4. Remove the computer cover. Refer to Removing the computer cover.
Step 5. Remove the front bezel. Refer to Removing the front bezel.
Step 6. Remove the four screws that secure the 2.5-inch storage drive assembly to drive bay.
Step 7. Pivoting the drive bay assembly upward.
Step 8. Slide the 2.5-inch storage drive assembly out of the drive bay.
Step 9. Disconnect the signal cable and the power cable from the 2.5-inch storage drive assembly.
Step 10. Slide the 2.5-inch storage drive assembly out of the chassis.
Step 11. Remove the four screws that secure the 2.5-inch storage drive to the storage converter. Then,
remove the 2.5-inch storage drive from the converter as shown.
Step 12. To install the new 2.5-inch storage drive
：
a. Secure the new 2.5-inch storage drive to the converter with four screws.
b. Slide the new 2.5-inch storage drive assembly into the storage drive bay.
