7. Install the screw to secure the front USB assembly to the chassis.

9. Before you reinstall the front bezel, remove the protective panel for the card reader assembly and the

front audio and USB assembly from the front bezel. To remove this protective panel, press the retaining
clips

as shown and then completely disengage the protective panel.

Replacing the front USB assembly

Attention:

Do not open your computer or attempt any repair before reading and understanding the “Important safety information”

To replace the front USB assembly, do the following:

1. Remove all media from the drives and turn off all attached devices and the computer. Then, disconnect

all power cords from electrical outlets and disconnect all cables that are connected to the computer.

2. Remove the computer cover. See “Removing the computer cover” on page 42.

3. Remove the front bezel. See “Removing and reinstalling the front bezel” on page 42.
