Step 1: Start tractor engine.
Step 2: Lower cutter bars halfway, then unfold cutter bars to operating position.
Step 3: While driving forward, use tongue swing function to offset mower to left or right side of tractor.
Step 4: Engage PTO and increase PTO speed to 1000 rpm before entering standing crop.
Step 5: Fully lower cutter bars. Allow adequate time for cutter bars to rest completely on the ground, then
return tractor hydraulic control to NEUTRAL.
Step 6: Slowly move tractor forward.
Step 7:
Adjust your ground speed to a safe speed consistent with efficient operation. It may be possible to
travel faster depending on cutting conditions. In other conditions it may be necessary to travel
slower to maintain a safe travel speed.

Step 1:
In a new field, cut the first round with the mower offset to either side of the tractor.
Step 2: For the second round, travel in the opposite direction to mow the crop laid down by the tractor
wheels in the opening round.
Step 3: Steer mower around obstacles using tongue swing function to minimize tractor steering as
described below.
DANGER: Entanglement in rotating PTO shaft can result in death or
serious injury.
Stay away from rotating PTO shaft. Stop engine and ensure PTO shaft is
stopped before working on PTO shaft.
Keep PTO shaft shields in place at all times. Ensure shields turn and
telescope freely.
Wear close-fitting clothing and confine long hair.
NOTICE: Do not start mower in long crop with cutter bars on the ground. If
mower is started and stopped with cutter bars on the ground in long crop, crop
may wind around discs and plug machine.
WARNING: Never exceed rated 1000 rpm PTO speed. Excessive speed may cause
blade failure. Excessive speed will cause blades to throw material at a higher
velocity which may penetrate the cutter bar deflector curtains. Serious injury or
death could occur if you are struck by thrown blade or debris.
