1 INTRODUCTION
The LELY HIBISCUS 425, 455 and 485 S (fig. 1) are trailed, single-rotor
rakes for side delivery. The rake is equipped with 1 rotor with 11 or
13 tine arms, each equipped with 4 double tines.
The tines provide a clean sweep and move the grass to the left side
in an airy windrows.
The HIBISCUS rake is equipped with a steering device and therefore
behaves like a trailed machine. It can continue raking in bends
without any problem.
The tandem-axle wheel assembly ensures excellent raking when
working in undulating fields as well.
2 LINKAGE TO THE TRACTOR
Link the machine to the tractor as follows:
- Adjust the tractor’s three-point-hitch arms at an equal height.
- Fit the lower arms to the linkage pins (cat. II) of the three-point
hitch.
- Attach the top link of the tractor to the machine with a category
II top link pin.
- Place the parking jack in the highest position (fig. 2).
- Secure the tractor’s lower arms with stabilisation chains or rods to
eliminate any sideways movements.
- Check if the PTO shaft telescopes smoothly.
- Fit the PTO shaft to the tractor PTO.
During first assembly or when using another tractor, check
the minimum and maximum overlap of the PTO shaft halves
in all positions
*
.
- Fit the safety chain of the protection tube to a rigid part of
the tractor.
If the machine is equipped with a lighting kit (accessory):
- Insert the plug of the lighting cable into the tractor socket
and check if the lighting is operating correctly.
*. Consult the instructions supplied with the PTO shaft
