2. Installation

To install the 6004T/C the following items are needed:-

6004T/C 4U rack
6094C Power Supply Module
IEC mains cable (10A 250Vac)

a)

Remove all packing material.

b)

Check that the correctly rated fuse is installed (6.3A slow blow 240Vac) in each IEC
mains inlet. The fuse can be found inside the IEC mains inlet on the rear of the unit.

c)

Plug in the auto voltage sensing (115-230VAC) 6094C PSUs ensuring that they are
fully pushed home. 

d)

To connect up the PSU alarm. This is located on the right hand side of the rack
(Marked as Monitor). The pin out is as follows:

Pin 4

Pin 1

closure on fail - PSU 2

Pin 2

e)

Close the front door.

f)

Ensure that the front and rear vents have sufficient clearance to allow air to flow from
the front to the rear of the unit. The front and rear vents must never be covered when
the rack is powered up. For optimum performance ensure at all times that filters are
kept clean.

g)

Connect up the supplied IEC mains leads and apply power and check that the LED’s
on the front of the 6094C PSU’s have illuminated green.
