Overview
General Description
The Genesis ADA-6081 and ADA-6081V are dual stereo analog audio
distribution amplifiers fully configured with links on each channel. The
modules can be configured as single channel stereo analog audio
distribution amplifiers with six outputs on each channel, or dual channel
stereo amplifiers with three outputs on each channel, through various
combinations to a single mono-channel with 12 outputs.
The ADA-6081V is fitted with a variable gain option. Each channel has
an electronic variable gain control adjustable from CCS (Leitch’s
Command Control System). Gain control ranges from +12 dB boost
down to -36 dB attenuation in 0.5 dB steps, or down to -66 dB in 1 dB
steps, plus mute. These two models include audio over-voltage and
sustained silence detectors reported to CCS and two GPI Outputs.
Two 3.5 mm stereo jacks are found on the front of the card allowing you
to directly monitor each stereo signal with headphones without having
to go to a jack field.
A GPI output is available to indicate excessive amplitude audio peaks or
sustained audio silence from each stereo channel of the ADA-6081V. The
thresholds for excessive peaks and sustained silence, and the response
time to sustained silence, are user-adjustable on the board. Each output
is active low
when an error condition is detected, and can directly drive
high brightness LED indicators. There is provision for a limited current
+5 volt supply to power the LED indicators. The ADA-6081V has the
two GPI outputs re-assigned, one for each individual audio channel.
