4. The contact spring ( → "Fig. 21- 1 ") has to touch the ignition wire ( → "Fig. 21- 2 ") of the bulb after
being inserted.

5. Swing the reflector downwards. Reinsert and retighten screw ( → "Fig. 14- 3 ") .
6. Close lid ( → "Fig. 12- 6 ") of the instrument again.
4.7 Filling and inserting the magazines
1. Fill one of the magazines (
→
"Fig. 22- 1 ") with slides (
→
"Fig. 22- 2 ") . While doing so, ensure that
the surface to be imprinted (
→
"Fig. 22- 3 ") is on the left and facing upwards.
2. So that the specimen slides are ejected correctly, ensure that the specimen slides are inserted
into the magazine accurately aligned above each other ( → "Fig. 25") and at a right angle to the
aperture ( → "Fig. 26") .
3. Hold magazine ( → "Fig. 22- 1 ") at a slight angle ( → "Fig. 23") to prevent the specimen slides
from falling out of the magazine. Insert magazine into the corresponding receptacle as shown.
Both pins
(

"Fig. 23- 2 ") of the magazine need to lock into slot (
→
"Fig. 23- 1 ") .
