What
are
Temperature
Extreme
Sensors
used
for?
The
temperature
extreme
sensor
will
provide
early
warning
of
extreme
low
or
high
household
temperatures
which
could
result
in
the
occupier
suffering
hypothermia
or
dehydration.
In
addition,
the
building
will
also
be
protected
against
burst
pipes
or
potential
fire
hazards.
Where
should
Temperature
Extreme
Sensors
be
fitted?
The
temperature
extreme
sensor
should
be
fitted
in
the
hallway
or
living
room.
It
should
be
wall
mounted
at
around
1.4
metres
above
floor
level
and
away
from
any
draughts
or
heat
sources.
Typical
Tools
Required
A
drill
and
screwdriver
are
not
required
if
the
self
adhesive
pad
is
used.
Always
make
sure
the
correct
drill
bits
and
screwdrivers
are
used.
Installation
–
Using
Screw
Fixings
1.
Remove
the
top
by
pulling
apart
from
the
back
section.
2.
Drill
the
back
section
as
required
and
fix
to
the
wall
using
the
screws
&
plugs
provided.
3.
Set
the
DIL
switches
&
links,
fit
the
battery
and
test
as
described
on
the
following
page
before
refitting
the
top
section.
Installation
–
Using
Self
Adhesive
Pads
1.
Remove
the
top
by
pulling
apart
from
the
back
section.
2.
Select
the
best
location
where
the
wall
is
clean,
dry
and
even.
3.
Stick
the
adhesive
pad
to
the
rear
face
of
the
back
section
and
press
firmly
to
the
wall
ensuring
it
is
stuck
securely.
4.
Set
the
DIL
switches
and
links,
fit
the
battery
and
test
as
described
on
the
following
page
before
refitting
the
top.
