To check whether the gearbox is still
operational, the gear wheel of the turbine
unit must be inserted into the gearbox.
The next step is to turn the spindle of the
turbine unit for a few revolutions. It should
work with minimum effort and should
rotate smoothly and without much effort
and friction. If it cannot be turned by
hand, small particles, such as sand, may
have accumulated between the gears.
These small particles can be removed
by soaking and rinsing or by using an
ultrasonic bath. Do not use excessive
force, as it may destroy the gear unit. If
the gear unit cannot be turned by hand, it
must be replaced.

To check the function of the turbine, turn
the beige part while holding the blue part.
The rotation should be done with minimal
friction. The clearance in the turbine unit
should be very small.

If the turbine cannot be turned easily by
hand or if the turbine is worn out, it must
be replaced.
