This colour changer accessory can be fitted on each of the following LDR followspots:
Canto 250HR MK2
Canto 575 MK1 and MK2
Canto 700 MK1 and MK2
Canto 1200th MK1 and MK2
Canto 1200msr MK1 and MK2
Canto 2000th MK1 and MK2
The colour changer has provision for 5 individual colours or diffusion filters. Its mechanical
design allows for colour mixing and an open white position, so the number of colours
possible is greater than 5 (plus open white), depending on the chosen combination of
colours and diffusion.
This lightweight accessory has been designed as integral part of your Canto followspot to
maintain the maximum possible output, and to ensure mechanical compatibility and
safety.
In order to get the best performance from this unit, please follow these simple instructions:
1. Check box contents
Please make sure the box you have received includes the following items:
•
1 x colour changer unit
•
3 x M4x20 cross head screws
•
3 x M4 star washers
•
1 x colour coding self-adhesive label
If one or more items are missing, please seek assistance from the LDR dealer who
supplied you.
2. Choosing colour filters
• When choosing the range of colour, note that polycarbonate-based media or
similar high-temperature filters will last
longer.
• Select colours which can be combined to give a wider choice.
• Using more than 2 colours at a time will significantly reduce the light output.
• Using a very light frost in one colour position will provide a simple, fast selection
of either hard or soft-edged beam.
• If possible, locate deep saturated colours furthest from the lens as it can
improve ventilation and extended filter life.
