RELEVANT LOCAL BUILDING CODES.

OBJECTS. SUITABLE FOR DAMP LOCATIONS.

The WAL-SM-MHFL-1000W-50C Portable Metal Halide Light Fixture from Larson Electronics produces 110,000 lumens of 

light in a wide flood pattern, is wet area rated and ideal for illuminating work spaces in a portable manner. The 1000-watt 

unit comes standard with a remote ballast mounted on the pedestal stand. Operators are provided access to a 50` cord 

with a cord cap.

Mounting

This unit is mounted on a heavy-duty galvanized steel pedestal stand. The frame features two 

swivel casters in the front and two stationary casters in the back made with anti-static stainless 

steel hardware for seamless wheeling around the workplace.

 Unit will be shipped with the light 

head removed. To install, align holes on light head mounting bracket with holes on pedestal 

mount, then secure using a bolt through the top with a nut on bottom.

 Simply wheel the unit into 

the desired location and position on a flat, stable surface. Use the locking casters to keep the unit 

from rolling around, and unlock them again to reposition as needed. 

Tilt the light head by 

loosening the screws on both sides of the unit, then tighten again to hold in desired position.

Wiring

We strongly encourage a licensed electrician install this product

, in all locations, especially 

in outdoor areas where weatherproofing may be required.

This unit is available in multiple voltages and multiple cord termination options. Choose the one

 

applicable to your unit below.

For flying leads:

Secure each pair of wires according to the diagram. Utilize a junction box or similar device and 

take precautionary steps for weatherproofing all connections if installed in a location where water 

may come in contact with the unit. Ensure the unit is properly grounded, connected to the correct 

supply voltage as specified on the product label, and that wiring is done according to all local and 

national electrical/building codes.

This unit comes pre-wired from factory with the selected cord cap. Simply mate the cord cap with a compatible receptacle 

outputting the correct supply voltage as identified on the product label. Take precautionary steps for weatherproofing all 

connections if installed in a location where water may come in contact with the unit. All outdoor installations and indoor 

installations near a wet location require the use of a GFCI device for safety, according to the National Electrical Code® 

(NEC). Ensure the unit is properly grounded. 

Attach supply line wires to the appropriate light fixture wires as shown 

in the applicable diagram
