•  Keep the appliance in a dry and dust-

proof place and out of the reach of 

children.

•  Do not wrap the appliance in plastic 

sacks because this may promote hu-

midity and mould.

Storage at shutdown periods

  Non-compliance with the storage 

instructions may provoke starter 

problems or permanent damage due 

to fuel left in the carburettor.

1.  Drain the fuel tank in a well-ventilated 

place.

2.  Start the engine and leave it idling until 

the engine stops and the carburettor is 

free from fuel.

3.  Allow the engine to cool down (approx. 

5 minutes).

Shutdown periods of more than 3 

months:

4.  Use a spark plug wrench to unscrew 

the spark plug (see „Replacing / ad-

justing the spark plug“).

5.  Fill a teaspoon of undiluted two-stroke 

oil into the combustion chamber and 

slowly pull the starter cord several 

times to allow the oil to spread inside 

the engine. 

6.  Put the spark plug back in.

Spare parts

Spare parts are available straight from 

competent Service Centre. Add the 

machine type and item number from the 

exploded view to your order.

Disposal/environment

Dispose the appliance in an environmen-

tally compatible manner. 

Do not throw machines into your domestic 

waste.

•  Carefully drain the fuel tank and hand 

in the appliance at a recycling centre. 

All plastic and metal parts can be sep-

arated by type to be reused/recycled 

later.

 Do not pour used oil or remaining 

fuel down the sewers or the drain.

 

•  Dispose used oil and remaining fuel 

in an environmentally compatible 

manner - hand them in to a collection 

point.

•  Contact your retailer for details. 
•  Throw twigs and branches on the 

compost. Do not throw them into the 

normal household waste.

Warranty

•  This appliance has a 24-month guar-

antee.

•  This equipment is not suitable for com-

mercial use. Commercial use will invali-

date the guarantee.

•  Damages caused by natural wear and 

tear, overload or improper operation 

are excluded from the warranty. Some 

of the components are subject to nor-

mal wear and are excluded from the
