Starting Engine
Note:
Follow steps in BEFORE STARTING
section.
1.
Open fuel shut off valve (Fig. 16).

Move throttle lever to
position (Fig. 17).

Push primer three (3) times (Fig. 18). Wait
about two (2) seconds between each push.
Note:
Do not use
position to restart a
warm engine after a short shutdown.

Hold blade control bail against upper handle
(Fig. 19).

Starter handle
5.
Pull starter handle (Fig. 19) lightly until
resistance is felt, then pull sharply. Let rope
return to handle slowly.
6.
If the engine fails to start, repeat steps 3
through 5.
Note:
If the engine starts but then begins to
stall, move the throttle lever to the
position until the engine continues to
run, then move the throttle back to the
position.
