• To insert / change the batteries, turn the lower part of
the device with the battery compartment while holding
the upper part of the device, then pull the lower part
downwards.
• Remove spent batteries (if present).
• Insert new 1.5 V AA batteries, observing the polarity
marking inside the battery compartment.
• Attach the battery compartment to the top of the device
by turning it, making sure not to switch the device on
inadvertently.
Caution!
• The device is powered by 1.5 V AA batteries.
• The batteries are supplied with the device.
• When replacing batteries, observe the polarity marking
inside the battery compartment.
• Use only the recommended batteries, i.e. AA 1.5 V .
• Do not dispose of old batteries with domestic waste.
Discard them in a dedicated bin for spent batteries.
• Never re-charge single-use (non-rechargeable) batteries.
• Do not short-circuit battery terminals.
• Never use spent batteries in combination with new ones.
• Never expose batteries to direct heat sources such as
excessive sunlight, a radiator or fire.
• Risk of explosion! Never disassemble or short-
circuit batteries or throw them into fire.
• Always remove batteries when you do not use the device;
doing so will prevent damage to the device from possible
electrolyte leak.
