Deck Cutting Height
DANGER!
Always stop the tractor and disengage the PTO before attempting to set or adjust
the mower deck height!
Never adjust the mower deck height with the tractor running or the PTO engaged.
The Model 621 Articulator has a standard cutting range of 1" to 5 3/4", in 1/4" increments.
If you wish to change the cutting height, do so before attempting to operate the Articula-
tor.
The Model 621 Articulator utilizes wheel yoke spacers for deck height adjustment. To
adjust the deck height on this deck, simply remove any combination of spacers from
above the four wheel yoke collars to below the collars on the wheel yoke shafts. Each
spacer placed below the collars will raise the deck height proportionately.
NOTE:
Having no spacers below the wheel yoke collars will set the deck height to 1”.
Thus, placing a 1” spacer below each of the wheel yoke collars will produce a deck height
setting of 2”, and so on.

Gauge Wheels
Verify proper function of all mower deck gauge wheels. The wheels should turn freely
without excessive side-to-side motion, and be free of debris. Clean, adjust, or replace as
necessary.
Check that each wheel yoke swivels freely in the shaft pivot collar, and the bushings are
in good condition. If any wheel does not swivel freely, clean and grease the shaft collar
assembly. Replace the bushings if necessary.
Replace any worn or damaged tires.
