The light informs the user of a low battery condition when the battery has been run down to 20% of its capacity.
The light will flash every 20 seconds. After the light starts indicating the effective discharge of the battery, you
have cca 20% of time until it stops. While using in 50W mode the searchlight switches over to 35W first and then
begins to flash every 60 seconds.
•
After switching off or fully discharging, wait 5 minutes and connect the searchlight to the charger to allow time for
the battery to cool.
1.
To charge the battery, unscrew the battery (rear part of the searchlight) from the body of the searchlight.
NOTE:
Strong force is necessary for connection and disconnection of the battery from the searchlight because of
the seals.
2.
Connect the charger to the electrical outlet first.
3.
Screw the battery into the charger.
4.
The green light starts flashing indicating the battery is being charged. A red light will flash if there is a fault.
5.
After the charging cycle has been completed, the green light stays steady.
6.
Before connecting the battery back to the searchlight, oil the sealing ring and also the screw thread if necessary.
CAUTION:
Do not touch the battery contacts.
The searchlight batteries can be recharged often. The batteries are loaded heavily while the searchlight is in use.
Therefore, wait 5 minutes before charging the batteries to allow them time to cool. If you connect the battery to the charger
without letting it cool, the charger will not start charging.
If the green light is off- the charger is not connected
If the green light is blinking- the battery is charging
If the green light is steady- the battery is at a full charge
If the red light is blinking- there’s an error
ON/OFF SWITCH
The black rotary dial just behind the handle is the switch for the on and off.
To switch the light on:
50W- Move the dial clockwise 180°.
35W- Move the dial counterclockwise 180°.
Quick rotation is necessary to turn the light on and off.
MAINTENANCE
If you use the searchlight every day, oil the sealing ring and screw thread at least once a week. Use any oil suitable for the
threads.
TRANSPORT
While transporting the searchlight by aircraft, keep the battery pack apart from the front part of the searchlight. Make sure
the battery contacts are protected against the possibility of short circuit or the battery will be damaged.
