• Disconnect the pumping group by unscrewing the fastening
nut
(wrench 45)
.
• Unscrew the pumping group from the housing.
You can now work easily as the pump casing has been freed.
• Grip the complete pump unit (

) in a vice (

)
(as shown)
.
• Slacken the ring nut (
P11
) by two full turns using the special
pin (
P12
) supplied.
Turn anticlockwise as shown.
• Remove the pump unit (
P13
) from the foot valve (
P14
) as
shown.
Inspect the two parts separately.
PIT STOP MAINTENANCE
The replacement of upper and lower will take about 25 minutes.
REPLACING THE FOOT VALVE SEALS
• Replace the PTFE gasket (
P15
) located under the ball
housing (
P16
).
• Check that the surfaces of the ball housing (
P16
) and the
ball (
P17
) are not damaged. If necessary, replace them
both.
• Fit them again using the component sequence as shown.
• Use a 36 mm spanner to unscrew the pump unit as shown.
