COOKING TIPS
HOW TO STEAM FISH & SEAFOOD
Please follow these instructions to steam fish and seafood:
Thaw completely frozen fish and seafood before steaming.
Always clean and prepare fresh seafood and fish before steaming.
Most seafood cooks very quickly.
Fish fillets can be steamed in steamer baskets, but if you want to retain juices cook fish in
the rice bowl. Keep in mind that cooking time will be longer.
You may need to adjust cooking time according to the texture and size of your seafood
portions.
HOW TO STEAM RICE & CEREALS
If you want to cook rice or cereals using this steamer, please follow these instructions:
Wash rice/cereals with cold water until rice water runs clear.
Drain well.
Place measured rice/cereals and water quantities into the rice bowl.
Place the rice bowl into the steamer basket and cover with the lid.
Set steamer to the required steaming time.
To produce firmer rice, slightly decrease the amount of water added to the rice bowl.
Rice should be seasoned with salt, pepper and butter after steaming is complete and the rice
is removed from the bowl.
