INTRODUCTION
The MB-X66 Series is a Socket 370 Pentium III
network control board with six 10/100
Base-TX Ethernet ports specifically designed for Ethernet connectivity. It is suitable for
SOHO (Small Office, Home Office), SMB (Small Medium Business), ROBO (Remote
Office, Branch Office), applications developers, system integrators, and service
providers segments..
With the Intel Pentium
®
III processor, the MB-X66 Series support up to a blazing 1.26
GHz, to provide high performance and meets the requirements of network platform
appliances.
Targeting on the rapid growing network platform market, the MB-X66 Series comes with
six Realtek 8139C 10/100M Base-T Ethernet chips. Designed with the Plug -and-Serve
concept in mind, the MB-X66 Series offers one 168-DIMM socket support up to 100/133
MHz SDRAM which provide full functionality and performance to be used "exactly"
where you need it as well. In addition ,one ATA mode CompactFlash type II socket used
in installing OS avoiding service disruption caused by hard disk's mechanical/magnetic
failures.
MB-X66 Series has many expansion functions such as one PCI and one 124-pin Mini-
PCI slot , One 40-pin and One 44-pin IDE connector, both two IDE ports that support up
to four IDE devices and Ultra ATA/100/66/33 interface help designers and integrators
improve system performance by retrieving and sending data faster. For easy access,
MB-X66 Series has a 9-pin, RS-232 serial port for local system management,
maintenance, and diagnostics. Everything you could need is on-board.
