Quick User Guide
This quick guide is for experienced users of this product. Please refer to the
other sections of this manual for further details as required.
1. Mix petrol/ 2 stroke oil according 25:1 ratio.
2. Add the fuel to the fuel tank.
3. Press the primer bulb 6 times.
4. Set the choke lever to the fully closed position.
5. Set the stop switch to the I position, then place toe in the handle and
adopt the start posture.
6. Pull starter cord briskly until engine run but no more than 5 pulls.
7. Hold the throttle trigger and throttle trigger lock-out to expedite or throttle.
8. To stop it release trigger, then relax handle switch or set the stop switch to
O position.

B. Vertical Cutting
1. Vertical Cutting is best used for the side trimming of shrubs, bushes and hedges.
2. Always make cuts from the bottom upwards.
SERVICE AND MAINTENANCE
Leave all maintenance, other than the items listed in this Manual, to your servicing dealer.
WARNING:
Metal parts reach high temperatures. Do not touch.
Before cleaning, inspecting or repairing your Hedge Trimmer, make sure that the
engine has stopped and it is cool.
A. Maintenance Schedule
Check:
Fuel mixture level before each use
Blade lubrication before each use
Blade sharpness before each use
It is very important for smooth and safe operation.
For damaged / loose parts before each use
For loose caps before each use
For loose fasteners before each use
Inspect and clean:
Complete Unit after each use
Air filter every 5 hours
Spark arresting screen and
Muffler every 25 hours
User servicing:
Replace spark plug yearly
Replace fuel filter six monthly
B. STORAGE
Before the Hedge Trimmer can be stored, all fuel must be drained from the Hedge Trimmer.
Start the engine and allow it to run until it stops. Failure to empty the Petrol Tank will lead to
problems with Petrol: Oil separation and possible fuel contamination issues with condensation/
water etc..
Stop the engine and allow the Hedge Trimmer to cool down.
Ensure that the Hedge Trimmer is cleaned before being stored. The use of a mild detergent on
plastic surfaces is recommended.
For storage purposes the Hedge Trimmer must be kept in a secure area, where fuel vapour
cannot create an explosion hazard.
Store the Hedge Trimmer with all guards in place, this will ensure that no sharp edges are left
exposed.
Store the Hedge Trimmer in a cool dry area, out of reach of children.
