Troubleshooting and Corrective Maintenance
Troubleshooting
This chapter contains troubleshooting procedures to help
diagnose and resolve problems.
Once the problem is located you must refer to
the
Corrective Maintenance Section starting onpage 3-16, for
repair instructions.
Troubleshooting Chart procedures are arranged as:

Cause

ENGINE PROBLEMS
Does not start.
No fuel.
No Spark.
•
Make sure fuel lock off is working.
•
Check fuel pressure and fuel relay.
•
Check tank.
•
Check spark plugs, wires & coil.
No acceleration.
Drive pedal out of calibration.
•

page 4-17 and recalibrate.
Runs Rough and/or Sluggish.

HYDRAULIC PROBLEMS
Mast lifts slowly - loss of lift
speed.
Attempting to lift a load in
excess of the truck’s capacity.
Insufficient pump or relief valve
pressure.
Mechanical damage of the mast.
Hydraulic cylinders leaking or
binding.
• NEVER attempt to lift a load
heavier than the specified rating of
the truck.
