Lightweight power machines may need weight added to the
rear to maintain steering control and prevent forward
tipping or side tipping caused by a heavy front load. Consult
your power machine Operator’s Manual to determine
proper weight requirements and maximum weight
Torque Requirements
Refer to
“Torque Values Chart”
on page 27 to determine
correct torque values when tightening hardware.
IMPORTANT:
Do not hitch SGC0660 grapple to a
skid steer. This grapple is not designed to handle
forces created by skid steers.
Before You Start
Make sure the intended tractor conforms to the
requirements provided on this page. Also, read and
understand this Operator’s Manual for your Claw
Grapple. An understanding of how it works will aid in its
assembly and set-up.
Go through the
before assembling the Claw Grapple. To speed up your
assembly task and make the job safer, have all needed
parts and equipment readily at hand.
Hitch Plate Options
Grapples With Font Loader Hitch Plate
Claw grapples with this hitch plate will attach to a tractor
loader equipped with a front loader hitch plate. Follow all
instructions in this Operator’s Manual except instructions
specifically provided for the Kubota B Series Hitch.
Grapples With Kubota B Series Hitch Plate
Claw grapples with this mount fit the Kubota B Series
front loader hitch. Follow all instructions in this Operator’s
Manual except instructions specifically provided for the
front loader hitch plate.
Grapples With A Blank Hitch Plate
Claw grapples with a blank hitch plate option will allow
the customer to install a hitch plate that fits their power
unit. Follow all instructions provided in this Operator’s
Manual. Use hook-up and unhooking instructions in this
manual and your equipment’s Operator’s Manual to know
how best to hook-up and unhook the claw grapple.

Check

Have a forklift or loader with properly sized chains capable of
lifting the equipment on hand.
Make sure all major components and loose
parts are shipped with the attachment.
Assembly
& Set-up
Double check to make sure all parts, fasteners,
and pins are installed in the correct location.
Refer to the Parts Manual if unsure.
