Hook-up With Kubota Quick Hitch
DANGER
!
To avoid serious injury or death:
A crushing hazard exists while hooking-up and unhooking the
attachment. Do not allow anyone to stand between attachment
and power machine while approaching or backing away from
the attachment. Do not operate lift and/or tilt controls while
someone is near the power machine and/or attachment.
WARNING
!
To avoid serious injury or death:
Check Kubota BX tractor quick hitch fit-up frequently. Make
sure the attachment’s center hitch pin is cradled in the quick
hitch j-hook and clevises are pinned to the quick hitch with
hitch pins and secured with linchpins.
Follow instructions below if hooking grapple to
“Kubota
Original Quick Hitch”
Option No. BX6315. If hooking
grapple directly to the front loader, skip to
1.
Check for and remove any debris in the hitch point
areas before hooking-up grapple.
2. Remove linchpins (#7) and hitch pins (#4) from
Kubota’s Quick Hitch lower bushings (#5).
3. Rotate top of Kubota’s Quick Hitch forward and lower
loader arms down until j-hook (#6) is positioned to fit
under grapple’s center hitch pin (#3).
4. Drive tractor slowly forward until j-hook (#6) is
positioned under grapple’s center hitch pin (#3).
5. Slowly raise loader arms up and rotate top of Quick
Hitch back until j-hook is fully seated in the grapple’s
center hitch pin and holes in lower connectors (#5)
are in-line with holes in grapple clevises (#2).
6. Raise grapple slightly off the ground and rotate
parking stands (#1) up until locked in place. See
on page 6 for detailed instructions.

Insert hitch pins (#4) and secure with linchpins (#7).

Unhook With Kubota Quick Hitch
WARNING
!
To avoid serious injury or death:
Store attachment on solid, level ground with hydraulic
cylinders fully extended, upper jaw fully closed, and parking
stands locked in the rotated down position. The attachment can
tip over if stored improperly.
1.
See
grapple for long periods or end of season.
2. Select a solid level surface to park grapple. Lower
grapple down until about 3 or 4 feet off the ground.
3. Place transmission in park, shut tractor engine off,
and remove switch key.
4.
Remove linchpins (#7) and hitch pins (#4) from
Kubota’s Quick Hitch lower connections (#5).
5.
Rotate parking stands (#1) down to park position until
locked in place. See

detailed instructions.

Refer to
Disconnect grapple hydraulic
hoses from bulk head couplings “A” & “B” and remove
hoses from hose holder (#3). Store hoses on grapple.
7.
Return to the tractor, start engine, and lower grapple
until resting on its lower jaw and parking stands.
8. Slowly lower loader arms and rotate top of Quick
Hitch forward until j-hook (#6) is below grapple’s
center hitch pin (#3).
9. Carefully back away from grapple.
10. Rotate loader quick hitch vertical and position loader
arms to a suitable traveling height.
