Disconnect Powered Rake

Refer to Figure 1-7:

DANGER

!

To avoid serious injury or death:  
A crushing hazard exists while connecting and disconnecting 

the implement. Keep people and animals away while backing-

up to the implement or pulling away from the implement. Do 

not operate hydraulic controls while a person or animal is 

directly behind the power machine or near the implement.

WARNING

!

To avoid serious injury or death:  

Always shut tractor down according to “Tractor Shutdown 

Procedure” provided in this manual before allowing 

anyone, including the operator, to connect or disconnect the 

implement.

Hydraulic fluid under high pressure will penetrate the skin 

or eyes causing serious injury. Wear protective gloves and 

safety glasses or goggles when working with hydraulic 

systems. Use a piece of cardboard or wood, rather than 

hands, when searching for leaks. If an accident occurs, seek 

immediate emergency medical care or gangrene may result. 

DO NOT DELAY.

3. Adjust stand (#5) to stabilize Powered Rake. Refer to 

“Stand Adjustments” 

on page 22 if needed.

Continue with steps 4-5 for hydraulic angling option. 

Skip ahead to step 6 for manual angling option.

4. Disconnect quick disconnect couplers (#4) from 

tractor duplex outlet.

5. Wrap hydraulic hoses around Powered Rake hitch 

frame for storage and to keep dirt away from quick 

disconnect couplers.

6. Push in on driveline yoke push pin (#3) and hold 

while pulling driveline yoke from tractor power take-

off shaft.

7.

Remove center 3-point hitch pin keeper and hitch pin 

from center clevis and center 3-point link. If provided, 

place center 3-point link in tractor’s holding clip.

8. Remove linchpins (#1) from hitch pins (#2). Remove 

lower 3-point lift arms from lower hitch pins (#2).

9. Drive tractor forward several feet. Place gear selector 

in park or set park brake, shut tractor engine off, 

remove switch key, and dismount tractor.

10. Reinstall linchpins (#1) into hitch pins (#2) for safe 

keeping.

11. Collapse driveline by pushing tractor end of driveline 

towards the Powered Rake.

12. Support collapsed driveline off the ground to keep 

dirt away from yoke push pin, u-joint, and splines.
