7.

Hydraulic Angle Cylinder Option:

a. Screw quick release couplers (#15) to hydraulic

hoses (#13 & #14) until tight. (Quick release
couplers are furnished by customer.)

b. Attach quick release couplers to tractor duplex

outlet.

8. Return to the tractor and slowly operate 3-point lift

lever to raise rake until parking stand (#7) is slightly
off the ground.

9. Place tractor in park or set park brake, shut tractor

engine off, and remove switch key.

10. Remove wire retaining pin (#5) and raise parking

stand (#7) fully up.

11. Reinsert wire retaining pin (#5) above parking stand

support tube to secure stand in the up position.

12. Hook wire retainer over end of pin to secure pin.

13. Return to tractor and slowly operate 3-point lift lever

to raise and lower rake while checking for clearance
with tractor tires, tractor frame, drawbar, etc. Move or
remove drawbar if it interferes with Powered Rake.

14. Manually adjust one of the lower lift arms up or down

to level Powered Rake from left to right.

15. Adjust top center 3-point link to level rake from front

to back as follows:

Center 3-Point Link in fixed Position

a. Using tractor control lever, raise rake 2" to 3"

above ground.

b. Place tractor in park or set park brake, shut

engine off, and remove switch key.

c. Lengthen or shorten center link to level rake from

front to back.

Center 3-Point Link in Float Position

Adjust center 3-point link in the field on level ground
after setting gauge wheels to the working depth and
adjusting tractor lower 3-point lift lever stop.

a. First, adjust gauge wheels to the preferred

working depth. See

“Gauge Wheels”

on page 17

for detailed instructions.

b. Using tractor 3-point lift lever, raise or lower

3-point lift arms to level rake from front to back
with rake operating at preferred working depth.
Set 3-point lift lever stop at this position.

c. With rake still in the ground, stop tractor, place

tractor in park or set park brake, shut engine off,
and remove switch key.

d. Adjust length of center link until hitch pin is

centered in the floating hitch slots (#12).

Driveline Installation

DANGER

!

To avoid serious injury or death:

Do not engage power take-off while hooking-up or

unhooking the driveline, or while someone is standing near

the driveline. A person’s body and/or clothing can become

entangled in the driveline.

All guards and shields must be installed and in good

working condition while operating the implement.

Do not use a power take-off adapter. The adapter will

increase strain on the tractor’s power take-off shaft causing

possible damage to shaft and driveline. It will also defeat

the purpose of the tractor’s power take-off shield.

WARNING

!

To avoid serious injury or death:
Always shut tractor down using “Tractor Shutdown

Procedure” provided in this manual before dismounting

tractor.

CAUTION

!

To avoid minor or moderate injury:
Some tractors are equipped with two power take-off speeds.

Do not exceed 540 rpm power take-off speed or equipment

breakage may result.

Refer to Figure 1-1 on page 10:

1.

Park tractor on a level surface. Slowly engage tractor
3-point lift lever to raise rake until gearbox shaft (#1)
is in line (level) with tractor power take-off shaft.

2. Support rake at this height with support jacks or

blocks to keep rake from drifting down.

3. Place gear selector in park, set park brake, shut

tractor off, and remove switch key.

4. It is best if driveline is lubricated before installing.

Refer t

“Lubrication Points”

on page 25.

IMPORTANT:

An additional driveline may be

required. See "Check Driveline Collapsible Length"
on this page for additional information.

IMPORTANT:

The driveline must be lubricated

before putting it into service. Refer to “Lubrication
Points” on page 25.

IMPORTANT

The power take-off shaft and gearbox

input shaft must be aligned and level with each other
when checking driveline minimum length. A driveline
that is too long can damage tractor and implement.

NOTE:

Bell housing (#2) is longer than (#3) and

surrounds pull collar (#4). Inner yoke pull collar (#4)
attaches to rake gearbox input shaft (#1).
