Section 1: Assembly & Set-up
Tractor Requirements
The Retractable Box Scrapers are designed with a
3-point category l hitch. Horsepower rating should not
exceed the following:
HR15 & MR15 . . 40 hp for 4-wheel drive tractors
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . 50 hp for 2-wheel drive tractors
HR25 . . . . . . . . . 60 hp for 4-wheel drive tractors
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . 60 hp for 2-wheel drive tractors
WARNING
!
To avoid serious injury or death:
Lightweight tractors with rear attached implements may need
weights added to the front to maintain steering control.
Consult your tractor Operator’s Manual to determine proper
weight requirements and maximum weight limitations.

Shank Tube
Remove shipping hardware (#1 & #2) after
blocking shank tube up.
Torque Requirements
Refer to
“Torque Values Chart”
determine correct torque values when tightening
hardware.

To avoid serious injury or death:
Before removing shipping hardware, support underside of
shank tube with blocking near the pivot bracket to prevent Box
Scraper from tipping forward and causing bodily injury.
1.
Support underside of shank tube with blocking before
removing bolt (#2) and to prevent unit from tipping
forward while setting-up the Box Scraper.
2. Remove shipping bolt (#2) and nut (#1) from pivot
bracket.
3. Insert retractable handle (#5) through hole “A” in top
of pivot bracket.
4. Attach pin tube (#3) to retractable handle (#5) with
1/4"-20 x 1 1/2" GR5 hex head cap screw (#6) and
hex nylock nut (#7). Make sure cotter pin hole is on
the spiring side of the handle as show. Tighten nut to
the correct torque.
5. Insert retract pin (#4) through hole at end of pivot
bracket, compression spring (#10), 1/2" flat
washer (#8), pin tube (#3), and out through hole on
far side of pivot bracket.
6. Insert hair pin cotter (#9) through pin tube (#3).
