Tractor Requirements
WARNING
!
To avoid serious injury or death:
•
Lightweight tractors with rear attached implements may
need weights added to the front to maintain steering control.
Consult your tractor Operator’s Manual to determine
proper weight requirements and maximum weight
•
Do not use a tractor that is too small or too large. Small
tractors can be pushed around and flipped over. Large
tractors can damage the attached implement.
Tractor horsepower and hitch category should be within
the range noted below.
Horsepower Rating. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 15-25 hp

Torque Requirements
See
“Torque Values Chart”
on page 18 to determine
correct torque values when tightening hardware.
Landscape Rakes
1.
Insert rake assembly (#4) through hole in the main
frame assembly (#1).
2. Place pivot cap (#3) over the threaded pivot shaft
protruding through opening in mainframe (#1).
3. Screw slotted hex nut (#8) onto threaded pivot shaft
until vertical play is removed. Do not tighten slotted
hex nut. Insert cotter pin (#10) and bend both legs
around slotted hex nut.
4. Align turntable holes in rake assembly (#4) with bent
pin holes in mainframe (#1) and insert bent pin (#11).
5. Position upper hitch mast (#2) on main frame (#1)
and insert 1/2"-13 x 2 3/4" GR5 (#6).
6. Retain cap screws with lock washers (#9) and hex
nuts (#7). Tighten nuts to the correct torque.
7.
Some rake teeth (#12) may require repositioning due
to crating. Loosen 3/8" hex head cap screw (#5) and
adjust/align these teeth to proper position. Tighten
loosened cap screw to the correct torque.
DANGER
!
To avoid serious injury or death:
Always check all rake hardware for tightness before moving or
working around the unit. Make sure the hex slotted pivot nut
and cotter pin are secured. If cotter pin is missing, the hex
slotted nut can unscrew allowing the rake to fall from its pivot
Parking Stand Assembly
1.
Insert wire retaining pin (#3) into parking stand
hole “B” and secure with wire retainer.
2. Insert parking stand (#1) into tube (#2) until wire
retaining pin (#3) is against bottom of tube.
3. Drive roll pin (#4) into hole “A” until pin extends
beyond holes in parking stand an equal amount on
both sides.
4. To raise parking stand up, remove wire retaining
pin (#3) and raise parking stand up until hole “C” is
above tube (#2). Reinsert wire retaining pin (#3) into
hole “C” and secure with wire retainer.
