Tighten lock nuts to the correct torque using a
crisscross pattern. See

Ripper Tooth Replacement
Refer to Figure 4-2:
Rotate ripper tooth upside down when its bottom is worn
out. Replace ripper tooth when both ends are worn out.
1.
Unscrew hex flange lock nut (#3). Remove plow
bolt (#2) and ripper tooth (#4).
2.
Inspect plow bolt and hex flange nut for excessive
wear. Replace if needed.
3.
Inspect ripper tooth (#4). Replace tooth if both ends
are worn. Rotate tooth if only one end is worn.
4.
Attach ripper tooth with existing 3/8"-16 x 2 1/2" GR5
plow bolt (#2) and hex flanged lock nut (#3).
5.
Tighten lock nut to the correct torque.
Impeller Blade Replacement
Refer to Figure 4-3:
Impeller Blades should be replaced when all 4 corners
are worn.
1.
Unscrew hex flange lock nuts (#3). Remove
Carriage bolts (#2) and blades (#4).
2.
Inspect plow bolts and hex flange nuts for excessive
wear. Replace if needed.
3.
Inspect blades for excessive wear. Replace any
blade that has all 4 corners worn. Rotate blade if it
has a corner that is not worn. See
on page 15 for instructions on how to
rotate blades.
IMPORTANT:
Tightening 1/2" nuts (#3) to the correct
torque in a crisscross pattern. Do not tighten nuts in
a circular pattern. For correct torque value, see

To avoid serious injury or death:
Do not operate ditcher with out-of-balance blades. Make
certain all blades are installed using the same mounting holes
for either 16" diameter impeller or 18" diameter impeller.
4.
Reattach new blades (#4) with 1/2"-13 x 1 1/2" GR5
carriage bolts (#2) and hex flange lock nuts (#3)
using holes “C” for 16" diameter impeller or holes “D”
for 18" diameter impeller.
5.
Tighten lock nuts (#3) to the correct torque.
