• Do not carry this device by the power cable and do not use the cable as a handle.
• Always unplug the device after use or before cleaning it.
• Electrical equipment must never remain plugged in when unsupervised. Unplug it when you are
not using it.

• Do not use this product before going to bed. Exposure to light can have a stimulating effect that
prevents sleep.
• Never let anything fall into any of the openings, and never insert an object into them.
• Do not use this device in a damp environment (in a bathroom, near a shower etc).
• Never use this device in a room where aerosol products (sprays) are used or in a room where
oxygen is administered.
• Do not use this device under a cover or cushion. An excess of heat may cause a fire, electrocution
or injury to the user.
• This device is designed purely for use in the home. Use of the LUMINESCENCE is not equivalent to
medical treatment.
• Do not use the device in a room that is not illuminated by another source of light - this may lead
to ocular fatigue. Use this device in tandem with normal lighting (daylight or artificial light).
• If you feel any pain while using this device, stop using it immediately and consult your doctor.
• We advise you not to look at the lamp during your session. You may experience sore eyes during
the initial sessions; this will soon disappear.
• Consult your doctor before starting to use the LUMINESCENCE lamp if:
• you suffer from or have suffered from chronic depression
• you suffer from hypersensitivity to light
• you have an eye problem
• you are taking certain medications (e.g. certain antidepressants, sedatives, malaria tablets)
that might have an adverse effect on use of the LUMINESCENCE lamp
• you have high blood pressure.
• The period of exposure essentially depends on the distance between the LUMINESCENCE lamp and
you. Refer to the section entitled «Usage instructions» to work out the recommended distance and
period of exposure.
