Main stand / Side stand
CAUTION
The operation of the main (1) and side
(2) stand should be checked before
each ride, and the pivots and metal-to-
metal contact surfaces should be lubri -
cated if necessary.
! WARNING
• If one of the stands does not move
up and down smoothly, have a dea-
ler check or repair it.
• The side stand is equipped with
an engine kill switch. If the stand
is folded out the engine cannot be
started.

Front fork
The condition and operation of the front
fork must be checked as follows at the
intervals specified in the periodic main -
tenance and lubrication chart.
! WARNING
Securely support the motorcycle so
that there is no danger of it falling over.
4. Place the vehicle on a flat surface
on the main stand.
5. Check the inner tubes for scrat -
ches, damage and oil leakage.
6. When not on the main stand, apply
the front brake and push the hand -
lebars several times down hard to
verify the suspension works freely.

WARNING
• When there is damage to the fork,
please contact your dealer.
• If you treat the telescopic fork with
cleaning agents, make sure that
they get no contact with the tires
or the brakes. This can lead to se-
vere accidents.
